The Valley Hackathon is the premier coding event for the Central Valley of California. We are a growing and vibrant community of programmers and designers and we are ready to take on the world. Last year we limited enrollment in our event to those from valley counties but this year we are wide open. So come on over and show us your stuff, see if you can beat us on our home turf.
Eligibility
We are a wide open hackahton. Anyone who will be in Modesto for January 15 and 16 can enter and win. Team size is 4 person. Students, professionals, hobiests, and sundry geeks are all welcome.
Requirements
The project must be software focused but may have a hardware component (Raspberry Pi anyone?).

• Does it seem to be bug-free, or were there obvious problems during the presentation? • Did the team show you everything their app could do, or were they selling you vaporware? 1-5 points -
Technical Difficulty
• Was there a particular challenge the team had to overcome? • Did you know this was even possible? • Were you surprised they would attempt something so ambitious, or was this something any highschooler could do on a weekend? 1-5 points -
Originality
• Does this hack break new ground, or is it simply parroting an existing product? • Did you learn something new by watching the presentation? • If it’s based on an existing product, does it improve its predecessor in some meaningful way? 1-5 points -
